kAyArOhaNa - The term ‘kAyArOhaNa sthalaM’ means 'a shrine where all beings become one with Lord ziva during the great deluge'. The name kAyArOhaNa is associated with the Lakulisa Pasupata Saiva sect which originated in Gujarat. This sect of saivism is said to have been widespread in Tamilnadu during the days of Mahendravarma Pallavan. There is a temple with the same name at Gujarat - kArvAn - kAyArohaNa svAmi (barODa).

Siva rAjadhAnI kshEtra sthita - the one residing in the sacred place Shiva-Rajadhani (Nagapattinam),
varada-abhaya karAya - the one whose hands gesture assurance of fearlessness and granting of boons,
bhuvana traya mOhitAya - the one who enchants the three worlds,
bhOga mOksha vitaraNAya - the one who gives away both enjoyment and liberation,
nIla-Ayata-akshI manO-harAya - the one who captivates the heart of Goddess Nilayatakshi,
guru guha muditAya - the one who delights Guruguha.
